Welcome to Slowwise. I'm Matteo. Home is a sleepy corner of the west, and most of these posts start there.

Crumpet is my touring bike, and turns up here a lot. The short story is clearing out a relative's loft, about seven years ago.

I write things down here so I stop making the same mistakes, which works about half the time. None of this is expert advice; it's one person's notes on riding a bike.

I've been riding for two years now; it started with an old man who rides every day at seventy showed me the basics. I post when there's something to say about cycle touring, which is roughly every week or so.

Slowwise has no comments or newsletter, just the feed. The pages of Slowwise are static and small, so they load quickly even on a train.
